Dry ingredients:
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup oat flour
1/3 cup Hershy's Special Dark cocoa
1/2 tsp soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
Stir together dry ingredients and set aside.
Wet ingredients:
1 Ener-G egg replacer
1/4 cup almond milk
2 Tbsp applesauce
1/2 tsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp chocolate extract
1/2 tsp coffee liquor or amaretto, optional
Plus 1/4 cup boiling water to be added at same time as dry ingredients.
Gently fold everything together and place batter into gallon size plastic bag. Snip 1/2" off lower corner and pipe batter into prepared donut baking molds. Makes 8 donuts. Bake at 350 f for 15 minutes.
Spread chocolate icing over each donut top after cooling on wire rack.
Chocolate icing:
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1/3 cup powdered sugar
1/4 tsp vanilla
2 tbsp almond milk or vanilla soy creamer.
