I pre-ordered two copies of this book, one to keep and one to loan to family and friends. It finally arrived (Thank you Amazon) and we made one of the recipes in it as part of our dinner last night. Kale With Miraculous Walnut Sauce, by Ann Crile Esselstyn.
THIS RECIPE IS EXCELLENT! Buy the book if you can, or check it out at your local library because this recipe alone is worth it. But do read it from cover to cover if you haven't already read "The China Study" by T. Colin Campbell, PhD and "Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease" by Caldwell b. Esselstyn, Jr, MD. It is kind of like reading the Cliff Notes version. Most of this new book is really a cookbook full of what looks like great recipes--I can't wait to try more of them!
Dinner last night: Kale with Miraculous Walnut Sauce, Quinoa made with vegetable broth, a slice of organic heirloom tomato (from California) and leftover chili-mac (vegan, of course). You know it was a good meal when you wish you could have it again for breakfast, but there aren't any leftovers.
