We cook without oil so sometimes the vegetables that we brown leave a bit of residue even though we use nonstick cookware. You may already know this but in case you don't....
A very handy way to scour non-stick pans without scratching the surface when food gets really stuck is to use a little spray oil and table salt, then wipe with a paper towel (you may have to push hard).
Pan that has been through the dishwasher or washed with soft scrub brush but it didn't get fully clean. |
Spray pan with oil and then sprinkle with table salt. |
Wipe out with paper towels, push hard in circular motion. |
You may have to repeat the process for stubborn bits. |
In the end you will have a pan that is better than new--it is all seasoned and ready to be used again in your next fabulous creation and look, no scratches. |
